Merielle grew up around home gardening and developed an appreciation for fresh, out-of-the-garden vegetables and fruits early on in life. It wasn’t a big surprise that she would eventually try her hand at growing food. Her first vegetable harvests came out of backyard garden beds, but her true gardening skills developed when she lived in a townhouse without a yard. Armed with a gardening book, some pots and a little creativity, she discovered she could grow amazing vegetables on her deck. With that success, she became a container gardening fanatic and over time has grown everything from lettuce and carrots to zucchini and corn in pots. Even though she now has a yard, she still prefers small space gardening with all its benefits and challenges. Merielle loves to connect with fellow gardeners to share her gardening wisdom. She is also a photographer who documents each growing season in her garden.
